Dry Brushing in 5 Easy Steps
Did you know that your skin is your largest organ? An easy and cost effective way to promote better health through your skin is by dry skin brushing! It helps:
Stimulate your lymphatic system to support the removal of toxins
Improve circulation and immunity
Exfoliate dead skin and softening skin
Reduce the appearance of cellulite
Dry skin brushes like the one in my post can be purchased at health food stores such as whole foods, amazon.ca and Saje Wellness.
5 Easy Steps:
1. Chose a brush with natural fibres (can be purchased from amazon, health food stores or Saje Wellness)
2. Brush skin once a day before you shower - best done in the mornings!
3. Use long, upward strokes or circular motions, starting at your feet. Brush up your legs, then from your hands to shoulders. Brush in large counter clockwise circular strokes on your torso. Remember to brush your entire back and neck also! Always brush towards the heart.
4. Brush several times in each area, overlapping the strokes.
5. Avoid broken skin.
Tips!
- Buy a brush with a handle if possible
- Rinse and cleanse brush with soap and water once a week.
