Vacay Essentials <3
Heading on a vacation this winter? Read on for a list of essentials!
I love to travel! Sunshine, beaches, good food, culture and the list goes on. Travelling is fun but there’s also parts that aren’t as fun like… plane food, traveller’s diarrhea, hangovers, headaches from in-flight pressure etc.
Over the years, I’ve managed to put together a little vacay essentials list. No matter where I travel to, these items come with me and I’ll continue to add to it as time goes on.
1. Probiotics with Saccromyces Boulardii – This particular strain of probiotics is needed for preventing travellers diarrhea. I’ll typically start taking it a few days before a trip as well as daily on my trip. Hurray for gut health! HMF travel is usually my go to.
2. Digestive Enzymes – Most people indulge and eat whatever they feel like on vacation, including me. It’s vacation isn’t it, so why not? But our stomach aren't always as happy. Nausea, bloating, gas, constipation…no one wants that on the beach. That’s why I always pack enzymes and take them with my larger or richer meals. You can thank me later ;)
3. Saje Roll-Ons – My Saje roll ons are important for me on the plane. I love the stress release which I put during my flight and I also use the peppermint halo for post flight to help with the headaches. Of course I make sure to stay as hydrated as possible on the flight but sometimes I can’t shake the headache and prefer not to reach for an advil.
4. Ener-C Electrolyte Drink – These have been a total lifesaver. I do enjoy having a few drinks while I travel and sometimes I have one too many. On those nights, I’ll make sure to have my Ener-C powder in 500mL of water and it makes all the difference for me the next morning. It’s essentially like Gatorade but so much healthier! No artificial flavours, colours, preservatives etc. Great ratio of electrolytes to help restore balance.
5. St. Francis Echinaseal – I don’t always end up needing this, however it’s my safety net for if I feel a cold coming on. As soon as I feel the slightest scratchiness in my throat, Ill take this 3 times a day and it usually zaps my cold so that I can enjoy the rest of my trip.
6. Skin Essence Rosehip Oil – After a long day in the sun, it’s always great to rehydrate the skin on my face with Rosehip Oil. High in omega 3, antioxidants, helps with skin cell regeneration and stimulates collagen production in the skin. Can’t say no to a lightly sun kissed and hydrated glow.
7. Airplane Snacks: Suzie's Good Fats, RX Bars, Three Farmers Roasted Chickpeas, Mary's Crackers & Hummus, Coconut Chips, Homemade Energy Balls.
Next time you head on vacation, consider packing some of these essentials. Do you guys have standard products that you enjoy taking with you on vacation?
Happy travelling,
Sabrina
